In 1942 Frankoma issued its first full catalog since 1936. They issued a small supplement in 1938, but because of its rarity most collectors are left to bridge a six year gap without company literature. The 1942 copy in my possession is not original, but a photocopy, and I believe I am missing one page, possibly page ten. The pages are not numbered. The original catalog had J.C. Taylor's signature on the cover followed by "1942?" in a different hand. I obtained this copy from Gary Schaum as a true 1942 copy.
Most literature will lead you to believe that Frankoma was not a very active company during World War II. These two catalogs have, however, substantial differences indicating a very active company effort. I will eventually post a detailed analysis of the changes on this site.
